I recently had to read the Great Gatsby for school, and I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. I liked how it was more about the characters and their various issues and relationships, rather than a linear story such as the harry potter series, which I read when I was young. I want something fairly short and light. I hate John Steinbeck. If it helps, my favorite movies are Fight club and Taxi Driver.
