    1. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte since you already have Charlotte and Emily on the list. It’s a unique book for its time and my personal favorite by any Bronte sister.

    2. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is one of my favourite books. Emma is a great one too, Sense and Sensibility…

Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky and Morphine by Bulgakov.

The first one is an incredible look into a man spiraling into guilt and depression, and the second one is about drug addiction. Gorgeous prose, haunting storylines and gripping plots!

    4. I’m currently reading Dracula by Bram Stoker. Vampires aren’t my cup of tea but I’m on the edge of my seat for every page.

I love diving into the classics! Frankenstein is a great one, as is Dracula.

I also really enjoyed Anna Karenina, so much so that it moved War and Peace right up my TBR. The Count of Monte Cristo was also wonderful but definitely a bit of a time commitment.

    6. If you’re reading Frankenstein and it starts off kind of boring – it doesn’t get any better. jmo

    7. The 3 Musketeers, The man in the iron mask, Les Miserable, Sherlock Holmes, any Edgar Allan Poe.

‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ by Oscar Wilde is a book I suggest for its exploration of morality and the pursuit of pleasure. Wilde’s only novel is a brilliant blend of gothic horror and Victorian decadence, with a sharp commentary on society’s superficiality.

I really enjoyed Elizabeth Gaskell’s Cranford, for a warm-hearted peek into early victorian society 🙂

Frankenstein is great! I tried getting into the classics and wuthering heights was my first book and it was rough for me. I liked Fitzgerald a lot though but I’ve only read the great Gatsby and the beautiful and the damned.
