I got a Kindle a few months ago, and I had the kindle unlimited but I’m a picky reader so I ended up buying a lot of books, one or two I found to be super boring, another one I purchased I realized I read and remember it quiet vividly. I was starting to feel a little defeated bc I’m a fast reader, so it could easily be $10 a day for me.
I got a library card with my county, they didn’t have a lot of options, so I got one with the neighboring county too. Lots more books, crazy wait times. So I got another library card with DC bc I’m right on the outskirts and qualify for the free card. It feels like every book I’ve ever wanted is suddenly at my fingertips. I got books 1-4 of a series I really want to get into for 21 days, on top of another book I started reading yesterday. I feel…like I won the lottery. This is insane.

👍 Same! Your library card(s) may also give you access to Hoopla, which has more books, movies, comics, and music. Some libraries might also have audiobooks on Hoopla, but mine doesn’t.

For people who live in well funded areas, it’s definitely an awesome resource.
My Libby shelf is full. My favorite thing is I can easily try anything and if it doesn’t do it for me I can just return early and try another. Great fun just going for test drives until I find something really good.
Yep I love Libby! Unfortunately I’m not in a big city like DC so it’s not like everything’s on there usually not even entire series but still there’s a pretty good selection. Also I recently found out that prime reading is a thing and I have Amazon prime already so that was really cool to see that Amazon prime has another perk. I will not be paying for kindle unlimited because honestly I’ve never come across any book that I wanted to read that was on there also I’m not a fast enough reader anyways for that to be worth the money (I’m way too busy to actually get my moneys worth from it).
For some reason all my holds start coming in at once and then I have 14 days to read 10 books. Lol. But I love Libby and recommend it to everyone
