I absolutely love the depth of Game of Thrones, the many characters and the shock factor when major story arcs happen. I’m desperate to read something as epic in scale as ASOIAF and would love some suggestions.
I’ve already read Tad Williams Merry, Sorry and Thorn series as well as all Brandon Sanderson’s works.

The stormlight archive. Or the mistborn series. Both by Brandon Sanderson!
The Luna trilogy by Ian McDonald. It’s one of my favourites and an epic tale with all the twists and turns. And no one being safe.
