Hello everyone- as the title says I need books for my brother who admitted into residential psychiatric treatment. He is allowed a Bible (he is Christian); however, apart from that I feel lost. His favorite series is Harry Potter, but that is not allowed. No books that are violent, supernatural/paranormal, contain graphic content, and sexual language/themes. Any suggestions would be so appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I’m not really religious anymore but I always liked and still like The Imitation of Christ by Thomas Á Kempis. I was Protestant and it is Catholic based, but he doesn’t write heavily on doctrine. I consider it psycho spiritual and it help me refine certain aspects of myself. I’m looking at my fiction, but those guideline are difficult and I’m assuming he’s an adult. Shoot, every fiction book I have has some for of adult content or a death. There’s the Nichomachean Ethics by Aristotle which is a little interesting. I don’t know if they would allow A Night to Remember by Walter Lord about the Titanic, but it was cool. I enjoyed For Whom the Bell Tolls by Hemingway but it is about the Spanish civil war and they probably won’t allow it.
