I had a conversation with some friends the other day about all the YA novels we used to love and how we’ve completely forgotten about a lot of them. I used to read *a lot* and I know there’s tons of books that I can’t find because I just remember the bare minimum of plot details. We’ve gone back to look at some of them that we remember (some of them are really bad lmao) but regardless of quality, I’d love to go back and read some more of these.
Ones I was able to track down include: Wicked lovely, Shiver, Darkest powers series and the mortal instruments series.
So, what were your favorite supernatural/fantasy reads as a kid? Do you have any favorites as an adult that scratch that same itch?

While not necessarily YA, I do love the chick’s in chainmail series. They are female centric, mostly funny, although some can be more serious, take on the woman warrior. There is her main series
Chick’s n chainmail
Did you say chick’s
Chick’s n chained males
The chick is in the mail
Chick’s ahoy
And then there’s the offshoot books
Witch way to the mall
Strip mauled
Fangs for the mammories
Well worth it. Super great short stories by varying authors.
