There are a lot of books out there that make life-changing promises but deliver little. Mostly, these books and their philosophies fail to live up in the real world.
I would like to know if there was one book you read that truly propelled change. That really inspired, motivated, changed your mindset and your life.

“man’s search for meaning”

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I read it in 3rd grade. It taught me that morality is not dictated by society, law, family, or even god. It taught me that there is evil in the world, and that it manifests in powerful ways all around us. That it’s hard to do what’s right, and doing what’s right is not always rewarded, but you do it because it’s right. It taught me the value of friendship, and that family is something we can choose. It taught me to question authority.
It was a powerful book for 8-year-old me.
