So BNW was on my list for a while and I was extremely excited to finally get my hands on it. At first I thought the writing style was confusing and hard to follow but I continued. Down the line I was just flat out uninterested and didn’t connect with any of the characters and I thought the plot was subpar (for the amount of fame this novel has) to to want to finish, but I forced myself anyway. I think maybe a) it’s because I read 1984 first which imo was much more well written, easy to follow, and intense or b) I expected to take the novel too seriously when a lot of it seems unserious. I want to discuss why you guys either agree or disagree, because I’m just not understanding what has made this novel so infamous, or if the purpose went over my head or something else of my fault
