I’m reading Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands currently and I think I want a funny book to cleanse my palate next. Loved Good Omens, Hitchhikers Guide, and already have The Martian and Starter Villian on my TBR from this group but curious what else is out there. Thanks!

Hands down Jenny Lawson’s ‘sort of true’ memoirs are the best!
The VTuber Legend series by Nana Nanato
If you enjoyed the humour in Good Omens, definitely check out the rest of Pratchett’s work! The earlier ones lean more Hitchhiker absurdism, the later ones are more like the style he used for GO
The Ascent of Rum Doodle
Lamb, Christopher Moore
John Dies at the End, David Wong
For me, it was A Prayer for Owen Meany. Yes, it does have humor despite sad areas, dry areas, etc. There are many parts that made me bust out laughing or snicker, then be in tears. But that ENDING!
Sure, I’ll Join Your Cult by Maria Bamford
Bill Bryson’s books, especially A Walk in the Woods, are howlingly funny.
Literally any book by David Sedaris. If you haven’t like audiobooks, he reads his so well it’s extra-funny.
The Stench of Honolulu by Jack Handey is hilarious. Line by line I’m hard pressed to think of something that made me chuckle so consistently.
A few more that made me laugh a lot:
* Tresure Island!!! by Sara Levine
* Earth Angel by Madeline Cash (short stories)
* The Teleportation Accident by Ned Beauman
* Norwood by Charles Portis
* Why Did I Ever by Mary Robison
* Apathy and Other Small Victories by Paul Neilan
Cold Comfort Farm- Stella Gibbons
