    1. My opinions on one or two of these may have shifted slightly over the years but I’m going to suggest some of my favorites from when I was 18-22.

Ender’s Game – Orson Scott Card

Speaker for the Dead – Orson Scott Card

The Name of the Wind – Patrick Rothfuss

      American Gods – Neil Gaiman

      Fahrenheit 451 – Ray Bradbury

Slaughterhouse Five – Kurt Vonnegut (And anything else Vonnegut… Sirens of Titan, Cat’s Cradle, Timequake, Breakfast of Champions, etc)

Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson is my highest reccomend based on Ready Player One. It’s been one of my top 3 since high school. Trickster Trilogy by Eden Robinson since you like fantasy, it’s contemporary not medieval but unique and fantastic. Three Day Road by Joseph Boyden is a World War 1 book that uses the wendigo myth and I just blasted through it in a week, could barely get myself to put it down and go to work. 1984 by George Orwell is the only book I had to read for school that I regularly reread, it’s a classic for a reason.
