well i am new and am looking for beginner friendly books in this genre

need a book which is dark, grim, psychological and yes ofc character driven mostly. Well I am new to this sort of genre, but lately I have been wanting to read books, which are dark and grim. I don’t read many books and I tried reading a couple and sometimes I just dont understand things. So is there any book related to this type which is good for beginners. Psychological, a book which shows character development where the protagonist, not necessarily but characters in the book who change, get more dark, have their own motives which actually make sense, things which happen in their lives which change them forever. Want a book like that, a book which is dark, psychological, character driven, focus on character development, fast paced, dark setting and also focused more on the world around the characters. PLease suggest some, as I am dying to read books from this genre 🙂
