If you are having a girl, get a copy of Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. Read it. It will explain a lot about what is going on with her when she is a tween. You can write your thoughts about it on the title page and give it to her when it is appropriate.
If you are having a boy, get a copy of your favorite book, or a book about your favorite sport if you have one, and write in it as well. This would also work for a girl of course.
