In particular I’m thinking of books with concrete suggestions for how to work well and make the most of remote work.
I am recently reading Remote by the Basecamp team. It gives a good argument for the benefits of remote work, and how to operate a company that way, but not so much for the individual.
When I first went fulltime Remote I read The Nomadic Developer. It’s moreso about the business of consulting at software companies than how to make remote work work.
I think that what I am looking for is more practical than inspirational, but maybe everything will have some level of inspiration since most books on remote work are from before it became the de facto workstyle in some industries.
I always had this 4 Hour Work Week style picture of working remote and digital nomadding, but after working remote for nearly 3 years it isn’t like that.
I personally struggle with communication and feeling a level of separation in life because I work where I live and so never have to leave.
Would love to hear what any of you all have found useful in this regard!
