I think what he is trying to tell us is not to get carried away with the past, future and just learn how to live in present moment. When I used to take photography seriously and was always taking photos, I started to notice things I never noticed in the past. The beautiful nature, colors, leaves, the trees, the landscape we pass every day is gorgeous and if you look closely, there is beauty to be perceived everywhere even in places we don’t normally bother to look or think its mundane. The more I took photography seriously, the more I started to notice things I have never noticed before
Good photograhers really master the art and capture moments we don’t normally perceive. Henri Cartier Bresson might be a good example.
Anyway, As my dad used to always tell me “Le Bonheur est a cote”
It basically translates that you dont need to look far to find happiness
