I just finished Bridge to Terabithia, and I sobbed like a small kid. FYI, I am 22, and I have no idea how people have read it when they were in middle school, and how it is actually supposed to be a children’s book???? It is heartbreaking, and so beautifully written. I feel like I can appreciate the emotions much better as an adult, like how innocent the book was or the small things like how he felt alone, how he never got the love from his parents, how he tries to improve himself, or the scene where his dad holds, or >!how as a ten year old he found it so difficult to process the emotions of his best friend dying. !<It was beautiful and painful, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
Also, I was reading through random reddit posts about the book/movie, and I read a fan theory that maybe t>!he death wasn’t an accident, that maybe Miss Edmunds had something to do with it, because she is a pedophile. And I mean, even I found the fact that as a teacher how she would take only one of his students to Washington? That sounds really weird? But I mean it could also be
the fact that, she wanted her student to see the art gallery, because he loved drawing/painting!<, and I am just reading too much into it. What are your thoughts?
