Tw: miscarriage
I suffered a miscarriage in August. I’m currently pregnant again with my rainbow baby which is obviously a scary time. And somehow every single book I’ve picked up this year has somehow involved a miscarriage, stillborn, or sick child. (Hamnet. Berry Pickers. I who have never known men). I wish I was kidding.
I beg. Please suggest me a great book that doesn’t deal with any of those themes. Ill read almost anything. Love historical fiction. Some books I like for context would be “to paradise”, “ocean at the end of the lane”, “cloud coo coo land”, “station 11”, “normal people”, “the stand” or “fairytale” by Stephen king, most Stephen king for that matter, any Kristen Hannah, any Neil gaiman. Etc.
Thank you!!

Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller if you like fantasy pirate books.
Or maybe the Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, which I describe as a CW show but in book form instead of a tv show. Very enjoyable. No kids or pregnancy. The MC is 17? 18 maybe?
The Prague Cemetery by Umberto Eco
