Hi! planning to find more books to read for the entire year and wanted to ask what is the one book you’ve annotated the most? (For my annotator besties out there lol)
I just think the more annotate a book, the more you invest yourself of what the book has to day hehe.
No specifics for annotation. May it be you highlight certain lines or put sticky tabs on the side. Anything really works c:

**Greenlighs by Matthew McConaughey**
I highlighted more than 20 sections in the book. Most were because of how brilliantly Matthew encapsulated life lessons learned. (Note to self, re-read this brilliant book)
Normally I highlight lines that is beautifully written
I was obsessed with Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations for several years. Read it daily. I bought every modern version, and every time I came across a translation that offered an insight into a particular phrase, I’d annotate that verse in my original Hammond translation. I also filled the margins with cross references by theme, à la chain reference bible.
East of Eden
“The Mists of Avalon” by Marion Zimmer Bradley.
My copy is over 20 years old, and I probably re-read it every 12-18 months. It’s interesting to see what I’ve highlighted, underlined, and noted in the margins over the years. What stood out to me as a 20-something is much different as a 40-something. The cover is pretty much held together with tape.
[Note: I’m 100% aware the author was a monster.]
