Hey everyone,
I found an old reader’s digest [article](https://www.rd.com/article/mrs-clarks-book-list/) (it has since been updated) and I thought it might be valuable to share here. In short, a woman found a stack of old high school papers and while going through them, she found a reading list from her English teacher, Mrs. Clark. Mrs. Clark recognized that some of her students wouldn’t go to college, so she spent months creating a list of 153 fiction and nonfiction books, plays & short stories from the U.S. & abroad which she believed formed the equivalent of two years at a liberal arts college. I had the privilege of going to college, but when I looked through the list, I realized I had barely read any of the books. So now I’m going through the list and plan to read each one.
[Here is the list](https://www.rd.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Mrs-Clarks-Book-List_LWL_Reading-List.pdf), if anyone is interested. I’d love to know how many of these books people have read, and which ones were most influential to you, if any?
TLDR; here’s a list of books that are meant to be the equivalent of an associate’s degree

I’ve read 9 of those books all the way through and parts of another (the bible).
A few of them are on my to read, but not a lot. I’m not big on the classics and am more of a sci fi type of gut.
