Basically looking for books that have great tension between the male and female lead. It should be slow burn, and would prefer an older male character. No enemies to lovers or workplace romances, I despise those. I’m not in the mood for reading any series, so please only recommend standalones. Books with 300-400 pages would be ideal. Thank you
