I’m interested in books about these themes in general. Preferably non fiction.
For an overview, I’ve read some books about this theme:
– 48 laws of power
– Very Important People: Status and Beauty in the Global Party Circuit
– The prince
The second one is interesting because it explores the themes of the title in a specific context (the global party circuit). I’ve also read Old Money, which theme is about habits and clothes of people who inherited their wealth. Although the theme of this book is not explicitly about status, it offers an interesting insight about symbols of power.
I also like Pierre Bordieau theory (which, in my opinion, is closely related to understanding symbols of status).
