I’ve been looking for books (and also movies if you also have that) that capture the idea of the beauty in mundanity. Like a beauty in the feelings of ennui. A serenity and sadness that happens at the same time that encompasses you, a lingering melancholy. A quiet and contemplative book that captures the internal and external conflicts. I remember finding it a bit in Never Let Me Go, which had this serenity to it. I don’t want a big build-up to something amazing. Sometimes fires just go out by themselves. Sometimes things just resolve themselves.

There’s also this comic that I’ve read a long time ago that I feel like kind of encapsulates it called How I came to work at wendy’s by Nick St. John

    Please give me some suggestions!
