I got a school project and for some reason I decided to do an analysis on unreliable narrators vs mentally I’ll authors. I would appreciate any school appropriate recommendations of life stories of mentally I’ll people (written by them) or autobiographies. If the author wasn’t treated for the illness that would be even better but I don’t know if that even exists. Suggestions that have be shot down by my teacher (reason in parenthesis) Jack Karouac (The books are regarded as fiction?), Edgar Allen Poe (Too short and not that good of an author), Mien Kamph (not appropriate), Una Bomber Manifesto (also not apropriate), Vldamir Nabokov (not really mentally I’ll, though I am still reading Lolita just as an example of unreliable narrator). Thanks for any suggestions!
