Sorry for the confusing title didn’t know how to word it if you read further I’ll explain what I’m looking for, thank you.
The main character from Stardust might be a good example, he’s trying to get some stardust for his girlfriend unknowingly to him the star turns out to be a person who is wanted by the bad person.
Or the witcher dude, he just happens to take the child surprise not thinking it would mean anything at all but it turns out to mean something major.
Something along those lines! Where the MC isn’t the chosen one in anyway but simply caught up in whatever the main plot turns out to be
