So I’m fairly new to book reading. Last year my favourite books that I read were:
Brave new world
1984
Fahrenheit 452
The alchemist
Angels and demons
Wool (currently reading the series)
But since finishing this list I haven’t been drawn to anything else. I’ve picked books up but they just haven’t drawn me like those.
I’ve recently been in the mood for books like the lightning thief series so I began to read “Anansi Boys” by Neil Gaiman and that’s been an alright read, nothing like the Percy Jackson series tbh.
I’m open to suggestions. Anything like the mentioned books. Genres I seem to like are Action, Sci-Fi, Dystopia. Open to other suggestions as well!

Anything by Kim Stanley Robinson is very technically scientifically correct while having amazing storylines, my fav sci-fi author!
1984.
It’s a great dystopian novel
Let’s look into Clockwork Orange although you need to Google the clockwork Orange appendix (which makes this novel 100% better once you understand the language).
You could go into deeper material like darkness at noon which is about the Stalin show trials (and is the inspiration for a brave New World and 1984).
Go for a short novels like animal farm (since it’s under 120 pages I would advise animal farm before you go into darkness at noon).
But if you are into classic dystopian novels and are familiar with works like Fahrenheit 451 and 1984 darkness at noon is a great novel
Project Hail Mary is one of my all time favorites. I recently finished Invisible Life of Addie Larue and enjoyed it a lot as well!
Happy reading!
