Hey guys, I think I’ve finally hit a dead end on book series that can reach my high expectations lol.
Every series I have started recently has just been blah & annoying, either the main character is just too frustrating or the plot is just see through, examples of this include –
blood heir,
kingdom of the wicked series,
acotar,
the name of the wind (hated this one but I just hate the main character the world building was well done),
red Queen series,
Now onto the series I’ve really really enjoyed & want to find similar reads – starting with my all time top favorite-
beasts of the frozen sun by Jill Criswell,
daughter of shades (the venatrix chronicles by Sylvia Mercedes),
the queen of blood (the queens of renthia series by Sarah Beth Durst),
three dark crowns series by kendare blake,

You can probably tell I have a thing for magical, political, matriarchy type stories, not very big on romance aspects but it’s okay if it’s not the main story. I haven’t met anyone yet who has read any of the series I like so far so if any of you are familiar and can point me in the right direction of similar reads I’d be greatly appreciative!! Thank you!
