I am looking for **fiction** books that are based on conspiracies, cryptids, suppressed science and other paranormal events.
However, I am not looking for vampire romance or dime store shlock.
The subject matter should be treated with respect, the story should actually be good, and bonus points if the author also writes related non-fiction (be it a book or blog or whatever).
Example:
Devolution is a fun and well written read that treats the Pacific Northwest tales of Big Foot seriously.
