Hey I read quite frequently, typically an hour a day, I like enjoyable fast paced books for the most part but mix in classics too.

Here are some things I have loved. Currently reading the Jack Reacher series, fun but a bit repetitive as I’m reading them back to back, but great character and enjoyable. Love stephen king but my favorite are more of the fantasy style books (Dark tower was amazing as was the Stand) like his kind of messed up things too, like Pet Semetary, It, Outsider etc. Dublin Murder squad was great and recommended to me here as was the Cormoran strike series.

The dresden files were absolutely amazing, I loved the self deprecating humor mixed with fantasy and extremely serious crimes. Also in the fantasy I just finished the stormlight archive main books, can’t wait for the next one.

Things I have hated are: American Pastoral, I tried and tried and simply couldn’t finish it. It was suggested here and don’t mean to offend but just no, not for me, I prefer books where something seems to happen or develop. I read the sparknotes because I couldn’t finish the last 15%, and I have never made a better decision. I like classics but there are some that I just can’t do cause they put me to sleep. Tried David Copperfield by Dickens, never have I been so lost in a book after reading for an hour (maybe I’m not smart enough) Also like brothers Karamzov I just felt there weren’t enough hours in the day to spend on something I enjoyed but was too slow for someone who enjoys reddit.

    Good luck
