I am getting back into reading as of very recently and I’m looking for a new read. I finished David Grann’s “The Wager” just days ago, and after reading the synopsis, I was hoping that the court marshal section of the book would have been longer. Of course, since it was true history, he could not have made it longer. I really enjoyed the last third of the movie Oppenheimer and loved the style and drama that the courtroom brought. I don’t particularly need the case itself to be that intense as long as the court itself is good. I am also not too great with legal terminology but I can figure it out if needed. I lastly would like to book to take place primarily in the courtroom.

In short, is there a courtroom drama book that can be read without a legal background and really focuses on the courtroom?
