Does anyone else find themselves mimicking the narrators thoughts/observations while reading a book? I certainly do, so I want to try a little experiment.

For a time, I want to read only books with narrators who demonstrate highly effective thinking. This could mean they are very rationale, or kind, or determined, or positive or any other positive attribute really. I want to expose myself to their thoughts for a while (as opposed to a lot of other popular media which is, let’s face it, cynical and negative) to see if I notice an improvement in how I think and observe and interact with the world.

I am specifying “narrators” because I’m not talking about just books about these positive attributes. Rather I want to actually read the thoughts that demonstrate the attributes. I am having a hard time expressing what I mean but I hope it’s understandable.

No preference as to fiction or nonfiction, but I would prefer modern, relatable situations (as opposed to unrealistic fantasy or unrelatable decisions of royalty, for example.)

    Thanks!
