Women Author Horror/Thriller/Mysteries?

I’ve found I have a weird specific preference with books. My brain has been turned to mush from Stephen King and other older male suspense type writers because they seem to really hone in on sexual stuff in their horror, especially about young girls. I get that type of stuff can be effective horror when used right, it’s just not my thing. Any good horror books you guys recommend that either are by women authors or exclude that type of horror?
