I’ve just finished reading Iain Pears’s An Instance of the Finger post, as well as Diane Purkiss’s The English Civil War. Looking for a novel set in the Civil Wars/Protectorate/Early Restoration, preferably with mystery or intrigue involved. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated!
