Evening all!
I’m a Fr-En and Es-En literary translator and I really want to start reading more in French and Spanish so I’m on the lookout for new authors in either language!
In English I’ve read and loved most (if not all) books by the following authors:
– Neil Gaiman
– Terry Pratchett
– Christina Henry
So anything vaguely similar would be great!

It is quite difficult to find a French equivalent to Gaiman and Pratchett who are so British !
You could try ‘Le Magasin des Suicides’ by Jean Teulé. A nice piece of surreal humor.
The books written by Fred Vargas around ‘Commissaire Adamsberg’ could also be of interest. They are very good quirky and humorous ‘polars’ with very nice plots and a great cast of characters. The first in the series is ‘L’homme aux cercles bleus’
