I’m quite sad now after finishing this masterpiece. I’ve read a number of classics and none have moved me like this. The prose is beautiful and the novel is incredible from start to finish. I think I felt every emotion while reading and I’m not sure I’ve experience that before.
Side note, Mr. Rochester pretending to be a fortune teller and giving bad news to all of his house guests then asking Jane if he was believable is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read in a book. It matched Major Major Major Major in Catch-22 for me.
