I ve been reading babel for a month or more while going to work and im at 350 page. i cant say i enjoy it very much and i find it filed with filler information just to make the book longer. This book was super hyped so i was eager to read an exciting story but i end up battling not to drop it.
i ended up the last two days speed reading it and jump paragraphs when i see its gonna do an unessesary explanation of some word or something random unless its somewhat important for progressing the plot and i honestly find filtering it more rewarding and enjoyable.
long story short i believe this book has so much spam in it and if it was 300 pages instead of 546 it would be decent .
i was really excited to read poppy war and ended up buying Babel and Poppy war trilogy together.
So my question : Is poppy war trilogy the same reading experience as Babel and is babel gonna get more exciting in terms of story?
