a book with children book vibes but which adults can read
i really want to be recommended a book that would make me feel like a child or like just have a child-like feel to it but which is suitable for an adult as well
The 13 1⁄2 Lives of Captain Bluebear is often cited as an example of a children’s book that also resonates with adults
Also possibly His Dark Materials though it is often tagged as middle grade

I’m an adult, and my favorite series is Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend!
But if you’re looking for actual adult books (though I’d still recommend trying Nevermoor as well) I’d recommend looking into the cozy fantasy genre. That’s usually my go to genre for finding adult books that have the whimsy I love in middle grade books.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman is the ultimate example of this.
