Hey everyone. I’m stumped. I’m in the middle of Bunny by M. Awad and am about to DNF this sucker. I was on a roll with Otessa M. and I’m sorry I didn’t just pick another of hers up. I’ve been wanting to try Lapovna but is McGlue better? I didn’t really like Homesick short stories but Eileen was pretty good. Also looking for someone who writes like Aimee Bender or Sayaka Murata. I’m going nuts not being able to sink my teeth into a good book. All help is appreciated. I’m looking for weird scenes that stick in your brain after reading. Bunny isn’t bringing it for me. Kinds YA IMHO. (Sorry all who love it!) Tender…Flesh was OK. But I like a good story to go with my weird, ya know? I want something like To Kill a Mockingbird meets Psycho!

Love Sayaka M! Did you read both Convenience Store Woman and Earthlings? I recommend both if you haven’t. Try Yoko Ogawa: she has a novella collection called Diving Pool that I HIGHLY recommend.
I also loved Iain Reid’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things- it’s going to stay with me for a long time. Picking up *Foe* by him soon.
