Drowning by TJ Newman is a quick, fast-paced survival adventure about a plane that crashes into the sea and is precariously perched on an underwater cliff.

Have you read Holes by Louis Sachar?

You can try short stories and novellas
**Visit from the goon squad** is a good book.
**Then there were none** and other stories by Agatha Christie, if you are ok with classics.
If you haven’t watched the movie **Gone Girl** then read the book.
Do you like any particular genres ? In non fiction you can try books by **Mary Roach.**
**Sex lives of Cannibals** is a hilarious travelogue. It has got some issues but will get you out of a reading slump.
the books that got me out of previous slumps – The Bone Clocks, Adventures of Tintin, Project Hail Mary, The terror, The North Water.

I’m into mystery books and I recommend every book written by Shari Lapena. Every chapter she writes ends with a cliffhanger and every book is fast paced. I also recommend No Exit by Taylor Adams.

I add in a genre I don’t usually read. This year, I’m adding biographies and autobiographies to the mix. They also tend to be faster reads than what I’m used to, so it’s great for a quiet weekend.
What kind of books do you usually like? Maybe reread an old favorite?
