Ive been reading some pretty heavy sci-fi and fantasy books recently worldbuilding and lore wise (and have been really enjoying them) but have a feeling that a slog is coming on if i read one more right now. So i’m in search of a standalone fantasy read with some characters that have big personalities, just to get back on my feet after world ending situations all the time lol TYIA

Try Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames. It’s about a group of retired adventurers (with big personalities) that come out of retirement to go on one last quest
“The Little Prince” is a classic that you may have already read. Ditto for “The Wind in the Willows”.
