I know the bare minimum when it comes to the Vietnam war and I’d love to read a book that covers the entire war if possible. I know there’s very specific events that are made into entire books, but I’d love to read a book and have a general idea of what happened there and how the war started/ended.

Pat Barker’s ‘Regeneration’ is a book I highly recommend for its exploration of the mental scars of war. Set in a psychiatric hospital during World War I, it examines the impact of service on the minds of British officers and offers a profound meditation on the limits of duty and the power of empathy.
