I like books where the narrator is somewhat unlikeable, opinionated and/or has strange ways of thinking.
Some recent ones I’ve read that I felt matched this:
Eileen
My Year of Rest and Relaxation
The Push
None of this is True
Yellowface
My Brilliant Friend (Neapolitan Novels series)
Sorry if my request is vague! Any suggestions?

Not sure if it’s what you’re looking for but Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson has an interesting narrator. The narrator is telling the story after the fact, he is a minor character in the story, but during the story he is cursed to be an idiot. It’s a fun whimsical book.
