The group starts their journey by stealing a herd from Mexicans. Much later they go after some horse thieves. They hunted someone for something they did themselves without a second thought.
For a group that is generally portrayed as decent, it kinda sucks that stealing from the Mexicans was glossed over. Perhaps I am missing something, maybe Mexicans weren’t respected then? I don’t know why this hypocrisy struck me. The men certainly did reprehensible things. I guess it seems to contradict their principles in a way that felt out of place.
Not sure what else to say, wanted to hear other thoughts on it.
