I really want to read more poetry, but I don’t know how to fund what I might like. I can enjoy some good love poetry, but I’m very interested in any recommendations for poetry about feeling lost or directionless or young. Or really any poetry you feel like everybody should read is so appreciated 😊

Try Elizabeth Acevedo’s novels in verse – Clap When You Land or The Poet X. It’s a great intro to poetry because you’re reading a book with plot and character development, but in the form of poetry. Very accessible, with themes of coming of age, identity, family and friendship. Beautifully written.
