I’m fortunate to have an opportunity to travel to Rwanda this summer, and like to read books about a place before/ during a visit. Typically I shoot for a non-fiction, historical fiction, and contemporary fiction (although not always three per location, and sometimes more/less in some categories).
I’m aware that it’s impossible to discuss the country without learning something about the Genocide, but I’ve already read most of the famous non-fiction books pertaining to the Genocide during high school & college. What I’m really looking for are books that address the country from a broader view of government types, culture, etc. Thanks in advance for your help!
