I am a parent of two children (7,4) the older loves chapter books, David Walliams is her favourite author at the moment. The younger still has picture books read to her, and loves story time. I have introduced them to all my favourite age appropriate books from my childhood, but I’ve realised they’re not very diverse. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations of books with good representation, such as lgbt+, neurodiverse (we are an autistic + adhd family), disability or diverse in other ways. I want to be able to show my children the beautiful breadth of human experience, and how normal all of it is.
