Looking for a book similar but much less violent than Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches.

I don’t want just any vampire or witch book. I freaking love Anne Rice! Since I’ve had a child, it’s really hard to read all the violence. I’ve been in love with Anne Rice’s books (the vampire chronicles)since middle school, but I just am struggling with it. Just finished Lasher and really want to go on to Taltos, but I can’t! At least I need a nice break.
