Any genre will do, if it’s romance-comedy or mudder-mystery . But all I want is “loosing a friend” topic (okay if it’s not the main but it’s supposed to impact the reader) like anyhow, if it’s because of a romantic partner or killed by some freak. (Want it to be fast paced)

Best advice I can give you is to leave this person alone. The friendship ended for reasons. Allow them to go their own way in peace without trying to make it weird.
