I would like some suggestions on murder mystery books written in 21st century in which the crime is being investigated by a detective/cop/ PI and who finds the the criminal by clever analysis and deductive methods. Something on the lines of Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot etc. Recent book that I had read was the Seven Murders of Evelyn Hardcastle which had this sort of flavour. Any suggestions?
