unintentionally dating a psychopathic guy

psychological horror/thriller where FMC only finds out about MMC creepy antics while being in relationship or doing it with him. like him seemingly obsessed, infatuated, weird, something much darker that lurks underneath. not normal at all and psychopathic. he didn’t really try to hide it because he thought nothing of it, and FMC just…. can’t escape anymore

(This is from Tampa by Alissa Nutting. I didn’t find the book scary (grossed out, yes) but this scene somehow creeped me out. But I’m intrigued)
