I just finished this and I’m absolutely obsessed with it. I found it so immersive and I can’t think of anything else similar in terms of the heavily descriptive style (I’ve read Secret History and The Little Friend). I’m at a bit of a loss now that it’s over and not sure what to read next.
If you described the plot to someone I think it would be completely unbelievable, the level of detail is astounding and the complexity of the characters with all their flaws is breathtakingly good. This is definitely a book that lived with me every minute.
