Basically as the title says, someone who is a cop or agent or something and teams up with someone to solve a mystery (or something similar) and falls in love. Romance is a subplot to the larger story. Can be straight or LGBT+.
Kind of like the Night Agent (tv show) or side quests involving romancing River in Cyberpunk (video game)
